Maintaining a field

A maintainer owns a subject area and answers one question about each statement in it: does this Lean say what the mathematics means?

What it involves

• Checking that a definition means what your field means by it.
• Deciding whether a question belongs to your area, or someone else's.
• Signing off — or sending it back — before a question goes live.

What it does not involve

• Reading proofs. That is the kernel's job, not yours.
• Judging whether a submitted proof is correct. Same.
• Moderation of any kind.
